Sleeping Beauty, don't be a beast.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who discovered online streaming. She enjoyed  binge-watching all her favourite series and often went to bed in the early hours of the morning. However, when it was time to get up for life after only four hours of sleep, she would feel like a wreck - dehydrated and longing for more rest.
It was almost too difficult to make her face muscles smile. All day she would look moody and her brain would not function as well as it usually did. After a few days of continuous lack of sleep, pimples would appear on her face and she would get frustrated. The lack of sleep even had an effect on the quality of her hair, which felt dry and broken. She became a beast!

I am guilty of not allowing my body to rest enough. I know it is very tempting to watch 'one last episode' but it prevents your body from recovering from the tough day it had. Enough sleep does not only make you look great, but aids in memory and healthy brain function. Fact is, your hair does get worse when you lack sleep because instead of growing healthy hair, your body is compensating that energy in keeping you awake.
So how many hours should you sleep?

The Australian says that 7 hours sleep provides optimum health for your body. I put it to the test this week, let's see if it works!

I usually go to bed at around Midnight so I set my morning alarm for 7am. It is winter here so it's hard to leave the warm bed..but when I get up, I truly feel well rested and ready to take on the daily tasks. I feel like I need to be challenged and feel the need to move, to be active. It's incredible! I feel completely fit!

It is truly a great habit. Let me know if you tried it and if it worked for you.

 Have a great week!

Herbal tea, fresh air and a good book.

I am in love with the world and still finding my way around what I want to do with my life. In the meantime, I just try to keep my body strong in the most natural way possible. I dislike the fact that big companies try to sell their products to you, pretending that they will make you happier and healthier. The reality is that everything you need is offered for free from nature.

We have become so used to things being packaged, that we have stopped wondering where things come from or how they are made. Could we possibly make them ourselves for cheaper with better benefits or even for free? This is my mission for the moment and it makes me happy to be able to share those ideas with you.
